Tick-Tock review and giveaway!

Remember when I teased y’all with a coming soon post about a review and giveaway from CSN Stores? Well, the wait is over!

I was given the opportunity to use a $25 gift code to review a product, and the awesome folks at CSN are also going to give a $25 gift code to a lucky reader from the US or Canada.

I’ve had clocks on the brain ever since I started our mini bedroom makeover. My ugly black alarm clock was just not cutting it when it came style and design, so I’ve been keeping an eye out for a replacement.

Enter the That 70’s Retro Alarm Clock. Here are my favorite things about this clock. 1. Its red! 2. It arrived very, very quickly once I placed my order. 3. I really like the compact size and design.

As someone used to waking up to music, I didn’t know how I’d react to the sound of a regular alarm clock. I’m happy to report that this clock does not beep, but has a ringing tone that reminds me of a rotary phone ringing.

The instructions that came with the clock were a little sparse, so it took me a while to figure out how to set the alarm (OK, Brad figured it out for me!). It’s easiest to set the alarm to go off on an hour. If you try for something fancy like 7:45 or 8:15 you kind of have to use trial and error to figure out exactly where to set the alarm hand.

The only thing I don’t like about the clock is that it doesn’t have a snooze button. My snooze button and I are BFFs. During the school year, I purposefully set my alarm early so I can snooze for ten or twenty extra minutes. My body is just not used to springing out of bed at the first sound of an alarm. Honestly, this is probably a very bad habit, so I’m going to keep using my new clock this summer and try to condition myself to wake up after the first and only ring. We’ll see how it goes!

Now, for your chance to win your own $25 gift code to use at any of CSN’s 200 plus stores:

1. You must be a resident of the US or Canada.

2. The giveaway will be open until midnight Eastern time on Friday, June 9th.

3. To enter, leave a comment below. Since I have clocks on the brain. Let me know your opinion on alarm clocks. Do you love them, hate them, have a favorite?

Good Luck!

Cute clock Hattie! We just have a cheapie digital clock that we set to wake us up with the radio. It's not pretty at all, but it gets the job done. And I normally beat the alarm when I wake up anyway.

That clock is great! What a great pop of color! Alarm clocks should be colorful and cheery shouldnt they? I had a favorite but it sold before I could snag it (http://www.etsy.com/listing/47973886/vintage-mechanical-alarm-clock-sevani). But then I found this and I love it too (http://www.etsy.com/listing/43244451/vintage-mechanical-alarm-clock-vitjaz)

The clock you picked is darling.
But as for alarm clock it is a love-hate relationship. They are a necessary evil. I would love to sleep in most days but know I can not hence the alarm clock relationship.

I have banished all clocks from our bedroom. They keep me awake by worrying about the time.

Using my cell to wake up is the #1 quickest way to ruin a ringtone. Michelledclay at gmail dot com

My kids tend to rise before the sun does, which leaves me no reason to have an alarm clock. However, now that I've seen yours, I think a retro little clock is just what my bedroom is missing!!

The sound of an alarm clock is the bain of my existance! It even grinds my nerves when I hear it on t.v., the radio, anywhere really! haha! But, your clock is adorable!

SUCH a cute clock! I don't use an actual alarm clock, just my cell phone. It's easy to change the settings on and I can make the alarm something that doesn't make me crazy. I do have a big, retro alarm clock on my nightstand, though.

Adorable! We use our phones now for our alarm clock because I'm paranoid about the electricity going out and then my clock not going off resulting in a panicked me the next morning. But this would make for a cute time piece even if you didn't use it for it's buzzer. :)

I believe I was drooling over that very clock at Urban Outfitters the other day! Excellent choice. I despise getting up in the morning, but my favorite alarm clock was one I had when I was little that would make different bird noises to wake you up. I hope that you can survive without the snooze, cause I know I can't... :) Good luck!

Great Choice, it looks awesome on your night table! Not a big fan of alarm clocks myself...I think it stated when I just had to get a garfield alarm clock...soooo annoying when it went off. But I'm ok with waking up to the nice CD alarm clock I have now...get to wake up to my fav music and start the day off right!

Really cute clock! I am the worst about pressing snooze... like three or four times!

I hate the sound of alarm clocks but I've recently started using the radio instead of the beep and I love it. It's great to wake up to the wether and news
