Lucketts Love

I've found another store to love! Old Lucketts Store, just north of Leesburg, VA is like a cross between a junk shop and Anthropologie. Their prices are much more reasonable than Anthroplogie, but not as bargain basement as a true junk shop. It like they've taken the best stuff from a flea market, fixed it up, and displayed it in a way too cute to ignore. They call their style vintage hip.

Here's a sampling of some of the neatest ideas.

These adorable coat racks are made from vintage door knobs and levels. My dad said I can have my great-grandpa's level if I want to make one myself one day. I think the answer is, "yes!"

I LOVE this lamp, especially the shade. I don't think it would be too hard to make something similar out of an old shade.

I think this whole shabby Paris tablescape is awesome!
My favorite part is how they used these little letter plates to spell out Paris on top of a stack of maps.
These pillows are made out of old postal bags. I really love the big grommets on the corners. I'm now going to be on the lookout for vintage postal bags!
This whole scene appeals to me, minus the cherubs! Something about the blue grey paint job + sea scape (and you know how I love sea scapes!) really speaks to me.
Last, but not least, I love how the simple act of tossing jumbled silverware in an old wire basket creates such a classy centerpiece. The textures play off each other in a really nice way.
I may have left Lucketts empty handed, but my brain is full of new decor ideas!
be sure to check out their website, as it's just as adorable as the store!
