free art

I’ve loved art as long as I can remember: modern, impressionist, folk art, outsider art, illustrations, photography, etc. etc. etc.

I grew up looking forward to family trips to the big museums in DC - The Renwick Gallery, The Museum of American Art, and The Hirshhorn are my long time favorites.

As much as I would love to fill the roost with “real” art, it’s just not in my budget. So, I love finding creative ways to bring art into my life. The Graphics Fairy is a favorite blog of mine for providing awesome free vintage images. She recently made my life happier by adding a category of images called instant art.

Remember the old prints in our bedroom that didn’t work with our new TV arrangement?

Well, The Graphics fairy solved my art dilemma with these gorgeous vintage shell prints.

I adore the washed out blues, greens, greys, and browns!

I can’t wait to putty some old nail holes in the wall so I can touch up the paint and hang these new beauties!

What art makes your heart sing? Have you found any awesome sources for free art I should know about? Please share!
